Challange
A new media forum was held at the Islamic Civilization Center, and, as with the previous project, our team was tasked with developing a digital platform for tablets provided to the event's guests.
This time, however, the project was significantly more complex. According to the technical specification, the platform required a deeper information architecture with a large number of sections and nested pages capable of organizing a substantial amount of content. The platform also needed to support both light and dark themes while maintaining a consistent visual language across both modes.
Solution
The visual direction was built around a warm and refined color palette. Cream tones were used for the light theme, while deep chocolate-brown tones formed the foundation of the dark theme. This combination created a distinctive visual identity while maintaining comfortable readability across large amounts of content.
A unified design system was developed to ensure consistency across the entire platform. We also created a dedicated article builder that allowed different content blocks to be combined into structured articles while maintaining a consistent visual style regardless of the content format.
The platform was designed as a universal solution that could be accessed not only on tablets but also through a web interface. This allowed us to maintain a consistent user experience across different devices.
To manage the large amount of information, we developed a system of nested pages and tabs. This structure made it possible to organize complex content while keeping navigation clear and preventing the interface from becoming visually overloaded.
Approach & Methodology
The project began with defining the information architecture based on the technical specification. We mapped out the sections, nested pages, and tab structures to establish clear navigation and relationships between the different content areas.
We then analyzed visual references and defined the overall design direction. As one of the key elements of the visual language, decorative patterns were introduced to create a connection with the architecture and overall aesthetic of the Islamic Civilization Center.
Based on the approved structure, the main screens and interface components were developed systematically. A unified component and styling system was created, along with dedicated color schemes for both light and dark themes.
Particular attention was given to the content structure and article builder, which allowed different types of materials to be organized within a consistent visual framework.
Once the design was completed, all layouts and components were systematically organized and prepared for a smooth handoff to the development team.
Result
The result was a universal digital platform designed to handle a large amount of structured information while providing guests with a clear and intuitive navigation experience.
The platform was deployed on 250 tablets, which were presented to forum participants. At the same time, the underlying design system and structure allowed the same digital product to be used in a web environment while maintaining a consistent visual language and user experience.
